General Installation Procedures

STEP 1. Cut profiles using a drop saw with a masonry blade. For larger profiles a hand saw is suitable.
STEP 2. Apply DULUX AcraTex 500/6 Exsulite Render/ Portland Cement Mixture in a buttering format with a hand trowl to the back edge of the whole perimetre of the profile including profile ends. The Cement Mixture should be applied in the centre of the profile in spotting dabs throughout the length of the profile.
STEP 3. Fix profile to substrate aligning joints and securing it with props. Clean with scraper and press simultaneously the excess Cement Mixture. Blend in with a feathering motion utilising a sponge with clean water the excess of the mix. Allow 24 hours to set.
STEP 4. Remove all props and proceed to sand profile joints.
STEP 5. Screeding/Patching process: re-apply 2nd coat of DULUX AcraTex 500/6 Exsulite Render/Portland Cement Mixture to profile joints and seams. Blend in with a feathering motion utilising a sponge with clean water the excess of the mix. Allow 4 to 6 hours to set.
STEP 6. Clean up around profiles with a wet sponge for final touches.
STEP 7. Finalising the installation process proceed with the sealing/waterproofing and caulking expansion joints as per Typical Detailed Procedures.
